Nobody’s Booking Presents...
Wieuca, CDSM, and Janie Danger
Doors at 8:00pm / $15 - $20 / All Ages
Janie Danger is a rock musician from Atlanta, Georgia. She cheekily describes her sound as “Hypnagogic Powerviolence” as she pulls from disparate sounds and stylings resting under the umbrella of punk rock. She’s been writing and recording most of her life but has committed to the Janie Danger moniker since 2020, forming a band to play live shows the following year. Whether her and her band are offering blistering grindcore, or tender rock balladry her live shows are always confrontational, deeply personal, and often filled with subversive improvisational banter. There is always a concerted effort to truly put everything in her body into each performance. Her stage show is like a guided tour through her artistic offerings. A quiet intro will weave its way through danceable indie rock tunes leading the audience to the inevitable end of rock and roll itself. Detuned guitars, shrill screams and blast beats all reaching an apex by the end of her set. Janie Danger is a bartender from Atlanta, Georgia, and has devoted her life to centering the struggles of everyone just wants to make something beautiful but might not always have the time. She makes music for all the little freaks and weirdos out there sticking their fingers too close to the electrical socket. She’s just a normal girl, she likes movies and birds and wants to save rock and roll.
