Atlanta power duo Fun Isn’t Fair strips garage rock down to its most raw, rudimentary state, and sharpens it to a lethal point. Formed in 2018, Alex Tuisku (drums/vocals) and Isaac Bishop (guitar/vocals) bonded over their shared eclectic influences from Thee Oh Sees to Fela Kuti. Tuisku and Bishop use their dueling vocals and instrumental interplay to great effect, refining each of their punchy, pint-sized tracks to extract the most intensely satisfying parts. With the summer 2022 release of their second album, Mock Surreal, Fun Isn't Fair has begun expanding their live sound with bass, synth, percussion, and saxophone added into the mix courtesy of Henry Kellam (Swellshark), Shelan O'Keefe (Swellshark), Cooper Dozier (The Stoplight Roses), and Logan Blankenship. The core philosophy remains unchanged though, with their song-a-minute approach making for a non-stop energetic show that is not to be missed.
